Ephesians – the Grand Canyon of the Bible
Someone has called the book of Ephesians the Grand Canyon of the Bible because of the vivid pictures, descriptions, and talk about God and Christ, coupled with applications for our Christian lives.
The book of Ephesians and Romans both lay out the basic doctrines of the Christian life. Ephesians is short — just 6 chapters; Romans is longer.
Ephesians is divided into two sections: part 1 and part 2. The first part, chapters one through three, is all about what God has done for us in Christ, so that He could get all the glory. The second part, chapters four through six, is about how Christ enables us to apply what God has done to our daily lives. So the first section is doctrine, the second is application. The first section is all about what is in the enchilada (doctrine), and the second section is how to eat and enjoy the enchilada for lunch (application).
There are two great prayers in Ephesians (and one mention of prayer).
Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

He is Able
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Faith is Positive and Moves Forward
Like a Mirror
When we pray and read the Bible we reflect the Lord and slowly are changed into His image. The water in this little river reflects the trees and clouds, but like a camera our hearts keep the images and impressions of the things we read.

2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Dark Understanding
Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But ye have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Prayer Can Be Simple
Prayer can just be simple, not complex and not formal. God is real, He is a living person and can be talked to with short simple words any time and in any place. He is not limited by His schedule, but He is limited by our schedule. Just talk to Him and make your concerns and requests known in any words you feel to use. We sometimes wait for a good time to pray, but anytime is always great.
Jesus is Alive
Resurrection day means Jesus is alive. Jesus Christ was born a man, lived and had a ministry, he died on a cruel Roman cross and was resurrected the third day from the dead. His resurrection means we can have eternal life.
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes on me, though he have died, shall live;
