The Israeli spies saw giants, but Joshua and Caleb saw God! Faith can see God. God has spoken, He wanted them in the good land, the land of Israel. But it seemed like a lot of problems and issues to get there. It takes faith to believe that God has given us all we need to obey Him.

We limit God…
The only thing that limits God is our faith. Small faith small things, large faith then God can do more. But this is balanced by obedience. In the Christian life obedience is required, but understanding “why” is optional. Sometime we do not understand things until later.
So in brief we limit God by our lack of faith, lack of prayer and lack of obedience to Him.
From Hebrews 12 – …let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.
It Takes Time to Grow a Tree…
With prayer, answers may not some soon. Sometimes we need to give God time to answer. It takes time for God to grow a tree… We just need a little faith…
The Divine nature
Everytime we obey, we receive into our natures a little more Divine nature. “If ye shall indeed obey my voice, ye shall be a holy nation unto Me.” Exodus 19:6 This reminds me of the verse 2 Peter 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

Faith and Prayer…
In that great faith chapter of Hebrews 11, the writer says: 39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40 God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us. So what is faith? Faith adds its “yes” to what God has already spoken. Faith lets God finish the work that He started. Faith says “I believe” and patiently waits for God to do His part.
He prayed that Peter’s Faith Would not Fail
Jesus said that Peter would fail, but He prayed that Peter’s faith would not fail….
from Luke 22: 31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift [you] as wheat. 32 “But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to[Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Just by Faith…
Hebrews 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after being encircled for seven days.
