I do a lot of hiking, walking and praying on various trails in the Spokane area. A few months ago, I encountered two moose about 5 miles apart. So I think it is time to write up all my moose encounters. These very small cute “little” animals are almost twice the height of my medium size car!
Psalm 116:1 I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. 2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. Psalm 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.
Psalm 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.
Here is an awesome morning prayer time animation video.
Morning time is an awesome time to connect with God in the Bible and prayer.
Just before the day gets started, take time in the morning to connect with God, the source of our life and our strength. He is the one to strengthen us through the whole day.
Consider these encouraging Bible verses on prayer in the morning.
Psalms 55:17—“Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”
Mark 1:35—“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.”
Jesus really liked the morning time for prayer and Bible reading.
Script, text and voice by me, animation and music by others.
Garagassi Point in Papua New Guinea, a famous site where “first contact” (1870) was made by Miklukho Maklai and his shack-residence of three years. Look about 40 kilometers down the coast here, and you would find Buff village, where Brian, Helen and David, first lived on the Rai Coast with the Saep people. I never tire of the views of this place as Brian fly on business from Ukarumpa in the Highlands, to Madang Town on the coast using a small Cessna 206 airplane. South and East of Madang, Astrolab Bay, Rai Coast. November, 2010.
The photo is from Brian Chapaitis. He and his wife are enjoying and serving the people of Papua New Guinea. Their web site is at: bchapaitis.org
Martin Luther was fighting for the Bible in a day where the predominant religious mindset was that money influences God. He wanted to focus God’s people on what the Bible says rather than on what the religious institutions taught. There is a great article on Luther at DesiringGod.org. Luther elevated the Biblical text itself far above all other commentators, including the venerated Church Fathers. This is great lesson for us! We should exalt the Bible because the Bible exalts God.
1. Will the Bible still be real and relevant to us? YES
2. Will God still be real and available? YES
3. Will there still be coffee for some of us? I hope so!
4. Will God’s promises in the Bible be real? YES
5. Will Jesus Christ still be the same? YES
6. Will books still be read? Probably…
