Morning Scripture Verse – Revelation Chapter 6
Some morning Bible verses to think about, no commentary today.
Revelation 6:9-10 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”
Revelation 6:16 calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb,
But now an encouraging verse from Paul’s letters: 1 Thessalonians 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.
Video Animations on the Bible
We have been working on a few experimental animations telling the Bible story, you can view them at DrewHaninger.com/video. The titles include: Awesome Morning Prayer Time, The Bible Overview in 29 Seconds, The Bible Overview in Two Minutes. I was inspired to produce these to help people get engaged with the Bible.
God Feels Pain, Tears and Disappointment
When we or others go through pain and disappointment, we have to remember God is here. We may think God is remote or does not care, but He does. Remember the promise at the end of the Bible – Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
And God actually remembers all our pain and tears. Look at Psalm 56:8 … thou know my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
The there is Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” God is always with us in our pain. Notice, the verse says the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He is not far away, but right there.
Prayer that Works
James talks about Elijah, who had learned how to pray “prayer that works“. God answered his prayers. But Elijah had to learn to pray.

The Bible scripture is James 5:16-18
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Let us not give up in learning how to pray. Jesus knew how to pray, and so His disciples asked Him how to pray. Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, Peter, Paul, and the apostle John all learned how to pray.
God Writes History
God writes history. This is a mystery, but time and events are in God’s hand. Man thinks he is in charge, but each person cannot set their birth or death date. God is in control. God is sovereign. He sometimes allows and sometimes prevents. He allows good and He allows evil. He allows life and He allows death. So be a part if God’s history by being on His side and by following Jesus.
Here are some great Bible verses on this topic.
Acts 1:7 And He said to them, “ It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
Daniel 2:21
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to those who have understanding.
Revelation 1:8
“ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “ who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
